Terms of Service

Agreement

By creating an account or using CareerKit, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use CareerKit. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

What CareerKit provides

CareerKit is an AI-powered career tool that provides resume analysis, cover letter generation, resume generation, and job search functionality. Features are subject to your subscription tier.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect the service.

AI-generated content

CareerKit uses AI to generate resume content, cover letters, and analysis. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before using it in your job applications.

Account responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

One account per person

Each account is for individual use only. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or access restrictions.

Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or attempt to circumvent subscription quotas.

Billing

Paid plans (Starter at ₹149/month, Pro at ₹399/month) are billed monthly via Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method.

Quota limits

Each plan includes a defined monthly quota of AI features. Unused quotas do not roll over to the next billing period.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your profile page. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months.

Payment failures

If a payment fails, you enter a 3-day grace period during which your current plan remains active. If payment is not resolved, your account is downgraded to the free tier.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds for subscription payments except where required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at support@careerkit.in within 7 days.

Ownership

You retain full ownership of the resumes, job descriptions, and other content you upload or create using CareerKit. We do not claim any rights to your content.

Licence to us

By uploading content, you grant CareerKit a limited licence to process and store that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Prohibited content

You may not upload content that is unlawful or infringes on the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

No employment guarantee

CareerKit provides tools to improve your job application materials. We do not guarantee that using CareerKit will result in job offers, interviews, or employment.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, CareerKit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

Service changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice of significant changes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.
